Hi,
Most of you will know me quite well if you are looking at this page, and over the past few weeks, as Jersey has gone into lockdown, I realise that I am one of the lucky ones.
The majority of us work in finance, probably now working from home, and are still getting paid, and not spending our disposable income as much as normal. So how about we all donate a few quid to help those that are helping us... the frontline Healthcare workers at Jersey Hospital.
Jersey has a fantastic team at the hospital, all working tirelessly to help those in need during these unprecedented times. We all need to recognise the hard work that they are doing, and the countless hours that they are devoting to help others.
The aim of this crowdfunding page is to put aside monies to help the frontline Healthcare workers once this is all over. Money towards a holiday, to refill the piggy bank or even to spend on going out with loved ones, something we have all taken for granted, pre COVID-19.
I have spoken to, and taken advice from, several Governmental departments prior to launching this page, in order to ensure full transparency. The Bailiff has a specific Fund set up for PPE, and although the monies raised on this page will sit completely separate from that fund, we will ensure that every penny goes to those who deserve it most, the frontline Healthcare workers at Jersey Hospital. I would like to thank the Bailiffs Office for their help and support in this respect.
I have set a very challenging target of £50,000.00 (fifty thousand pounds) as I know how generous we all can be in times like this. I am looking for donations from both individuals and Corporates alike, so once you have donated, please spread the word within your respective companies, and who knows, we might get there sooner than we think.
