Hi everyone! This year I'll be taking part in my second Heavy Metal Truants challenge. After admiring everyone's efforts for years I decided to take the plunge and help raise money for the amazing charities last year by running "The Snaggler" and I absolutely adored it, from the camaraderie and encouragement of the Truants all the way down to the wobbly legs! It was my first challenge during Lockdown, and as with many it was a massive struggle to find motivation to keep going and keep my head above the water. However knowing I was doing something to help those who truly needed it was all the motivation I needed.
This year I'll be tackling the "Running Wild" challenge and running 50 miles over 12 days to raise money for Nordoff Robbins Music Therapy, ChildLine/NSPCC, Teenage Cancer Trust and Save The Children. If you are able to spare any amount of money to help out it would be massively appreciated.
I can't wait to get started, blast some metal and ruin my legs for a good cause. Let's do this!
