About North2South Walk 2021

PLEASE NOTE THAT EVEN THOUGH, DUE TO DEMAND, WE HAVE OPENED UP REGISTRATION AGAIN UNTIL 9AM SATURDAY 28TH, WE WONT HAVE TIME TO MAIL OUT COACH TICKETS AS FROM TODAY.

The Diabetes Jersey North2South Walk in Memory of Brian Le Marquand MBE is organised to support the Charity’s ongoing commitment of around £150,000 annually to support those in Jersey with Diabetes and to ensure that all persons in the Island with Diabetes receive the best possible attention.

The North2South Walk will start at La Route du Nord Public Car Park opposite Les Fontaines Tavern in St John and will wind down Jersey's countryside to finish at the Public Car Park behind Corbiere Phare near the Radio Tower at Corbiere.

Start: La Route du Nord Public Car Park, St John
Finish: Public Car Park behind Corbiere Phare Restaurant at Corbiere
Distance: 8 miles (leisurely pace, family friendly, dog friendly) Due to the terrain at the end of the Val de la Mare Reservoir this walk is not suitable for wheelchairs or pushchairs.
Toilets: Portaloo at Entrance of Val de la Mare Reservoir, Public Toilets at Le Braye and at the Finish at Corbiere.
Buses: There will be free buses from the Steam Clock in St Helier to the Start and from the Finish back to town or the Start at La Route du Nord.

  • Steam Clock, Waterfront, St Helier to La Route du Nord: 8am and 8.30am
  • Corbiere to St Helier: 11.15am and 12.30pm
  • Corbiere to La Route du Nord: 11.15am and 12.30pm

Please note:

  • Please remember to bring your own water.
  • Free baseball caps will be given out on proof of registration at the start.
  • There will be a toilet stop en-route at the entrance to the Val de la Mare reservoir (portaloo).
  • The Walk will be clearly marked with yellow and black arrows.
  • Dogs are allowed on the Walk and on the coaches provided they are kept on a lead at all times and are a well behaved.
