The start of this year my Papa became unwell. I was stuck in France due to covid so couldn’t get back in time to say good bye. He was the most wonderful Papa a young girl could ask for and I miss him everyday.
He spent his last days at les bourgs Hospice, so it’s lovely to give back.
This event was established in 2014 to raise money for Les Bourgs Hospice, encourage more people to swim in the sea and discover different parts of Guernsey and is now a key event in many islander's Summer calendar. The 30baysin30days concept has been shared with the Jersey Hospice & National Trust Jersey and it has evolved in Guernsey to include a smaller family friendly 9baysin30days version and also a Winter 12 Bays of Christmas challenge. In 2020 over 800 people registered, raising over £44.5k and this year is the Hospice's 30th birthday so we would really appreciate your help in breaking that record! Please encourage friends, family and work colleagues to get signed up and if the prospect of doing it as an individual is too much why not enter as a team and share the list of bays between you?
