About Aidan Wharton

In January this year my Girlfriend was diagnosed with Breast Cancer.

Her medical care has been exceptional but the journey has been made much easier by the wonderful support offered to both of us by Macmillan Jersey.

Patients & their families can pop in anytime for a chat, have a complementary therapy session or attend one of their many groups and Pam makes a great cup of tea or coffee.

Cancer can be really isolating but having Macmillan Jersey to turn to can make all the difference.

I am a keen cyclist and have been lucky to have cycled in some nice places around the world, 100K will be a new challenge for me but in my opinion it’s worth it for the support Macmillan Jersey provides.

Thanks for reading my page and for donating to a brilliant charity.

About Mac100

Welcome to the inaugural Mac100, a fun focused cycle ride of 100km following a route which some would classify as moderate in terms of physical exertion but by all as outstanding in terms of the natural beauty of the Jersey landscape through which you will ride.

Sunday 22nd August, Starting from St Clement Parish Hall between 7.30am - 9.30am and finishing at St Clement Parish Hall.

The event is proudly sponsored by Jacksons CI Limited and we are very grateful for their generous support and to all participants whose entry fee and any ancillary fund raising efforts will greatly benefit the wonderful work of Macmillan Cancer Support in Jersey.

You can easily set up a sponsorship page here so that your family and friends can sponsor your efforts on the Mac100.

Participants may use whatever type of bicycle they choose, including electric bikes, but excluding fixed wheel bikes, track bikes and monocycles.

The wearing of helmets will be mandatory.

There will be two refreshment stops along the route which will be made available before the event in order that participants can make themselves familiar with the course although signage will also be posted along the route on the day.
