Ok so let me be clear from the start:
I'M NOT RUNNING.
I'm turning up, cheering on the runners, eating some hog roast, drinking some cider and dancing in a field. I'll take photos, I promise.
Most of you will know I've supported School in a Bag for as long as it's existed, I've helped in the PopUp shop, I've done birthday fundraisers, I've worked in the office, I've always helped however I can, and since I could register for a sponsorship page just as a spectator I thought - this has got to be my best fundraising idea yet!!
Our planet is a bit of a bin fire at the moment, isn't it? Global warming, refugees, floods, wildfires, earthquakes, poverty... but did you know that School in a Bag helps in ALL of these situations by providing Schoolbags full of supplies (that only cost £20) to children who need them, whatever crisis they are facing, wherever they are in the world. It's my favourite charity (look on the website for more details) and it does the best, most transformative and transparent work.
So. If you want to help, by sponsoring me to drink cider and dance in a field, now is your chance. As I said, a Schoolbag that will transform a child's life costs £20, if you can spare it (I'd love to raise enough for 5) but if you can just throw in a couple of quid, as if you were there and buying me a nice cold cider, I promise you that money will make a difference. And you'll make me smile too.
Share the link to this sponsorship page, spread the word about the charity, and stay tuned to my Instagram page next weekend (10th-12th September) for all the highlights!
