I wanted to undertake a challenge that would push my physical and mental boundaries. This would be the longest bike ride I have done for a very long time. I took a break from events to have my two wonderful children. I'm sure I will be able to juggle training with two small people, time will certainly tell!
I am raising money for The British Dyslexia Association. My close friends and family are aware I have Dyslexia. I was first diagnosed in last year of primary school; as my year 5 teacher was concerned as I couldn't tell the time. I had additional support for mathematics outside of primary school; and the lady was the most amazing person whom looked at everything differently and made it much easier to understand! She suggested to my parents to get me assessed for Dyslexia, and turns out that I am Dyslexic after many years of teachers telling my parents that I will grow out of the problems I was experiencing at Primary school. With the right support I went onto Secondary education, College and University. I'm grateful for all the support I received in each education sector to enable me to achieve my goals.
I want to raise awareness of Dyslexia, and that we have neuro-diverse brains! We certainly do thinking differently; and can be a strength in our personal and work lives!
If you can donate money towards the Dyslexia Association I would be very grateful. Thank you for taking the time to read this and donating.
