It's a new year and it's time for a brand new challenge!
This year I will be taking on The National 3 Peaks Challenge, climbing the tallest mountain in Scotland, England and Wales in 24 hours on Tuesday 24th May.
I'll be raising money this year for two charities; Jersey Hospice Care and Dementia Jersey. I'll also be dedicating this challenge to two of my guardian angels, my mum and my papa.
I wanted to not only raise money for two incredible local charities who do so much for those who have been hit by cancer and dementia but also in memory of two incredible people who I wouldn't be the person I am today without.
It may be 17 weeks away but this will come around sooner than expected, I'm looking forward to starting training and sharing that experience along the way. Any donations towards my challenge would be greatly appreciated

Jersey Hospice Care and Dementia Jersey
Jersey Hospice Care
Jersey Hospice Care is the island's Hospice; all of our services are available to anyone with a life limiting condition and provided at no cost to the patient or their family.
The charity first began with a home care service in 1982. The work done in the community is still central to what is offered today and the Specialist Palliative Care team are on call all day, every day, 365 days a year.
We offer day care facilities three days a week and have twelve bedrooms on the In-Patient Unit for people needing more intensive care. We also offer physiotherapy, lymphoedma and complementary therapies.
In addition, confidential emotional support is available to islanders of all ages through the Community Bereavement Service, regardless of the nature of bereavement and how long ago it happened.
We recognise and respect that each person is unique and aim to improve the quality of life for patients, and their families, according to their own personal needs.
Dementia Jersey
Previously an arm of the UK Alzheimer’s Society, Dementia Jersey ( previously Jersey Alzheimer’s Association) was formed in 2010 to support everyone in the island affected by dementia in whatever way.
Jersey now has over 1600 people diagnosed with some form of dementia and many more that we don’t know about.
Since 2012 we have experienced a dramatic 235% increase in demand for our services and now regularly welcome over 400 people to our events and activities each month.
