My name is Georgina I am one of the 12% of people who are diagnosed with dyslexia. I was 8 years old when I was first diagnosed and ever since that day, I have been learning how to live in a world that does not cater to people who have my disability. This will be my first marathon and I want to challenge myself to do this after all the challenges I have had to face and overcome through my time in the education system. I am wanting to raise money for the British Dyslexia Association to help fund the work that they do to support people who have dyslexia.

The British Dyslexia Association (BDA) has been the voice of dyslexic people since 1972. We are a membership organisation working to achieve a dyslexia-friendly society for all.
The London Marathon is an annual marathon event founded by athletes Chris Brasher and John Disley in 1981, and is typically held in April. The largely flat course is set around the River Thames, starting in Blackheath and finishing at The Mall.
