So this whole thing started as a 2020 lockdown adventure and the purchase of an exercise bike. I love challenges and I love Download, the charities are fantastic so I was really pleased to find HMT #8. I completed 333miles in 12 days and 666miles by the end of June 2020. WFH advantage.
2021 came by and again completed the 333miles in time for Download Pilot.. Still not quite sure how I managed. It even involved taking the exercise bike up to Sheffield for the weekend to get the miles in. The staff at the Ibis were a bit perturbed seeing Dennis with a bike over his shoulder walking across the lobby :-D
And this year, I've picked up the challenge again, HMT #10, this time aiming to complete "The Donington" 175miles between 30 May and 8 June. The official challenge ends on 10 June but we're heading up on 8 June and Dennis will not be impressed if he has to pack the exercise bike too. No more WFH advantage.
Anyway, it's only the second time in the past year since I've asked for any donations so hoping you have a couple of pennies to support the ever so needed work done by Nordoff Robbins, childline, Teenage Cancer Trust and Save the Children. I know it's tough times for everyone but every little bit counts..
I climbed on the bike for the first time since 2 January today (23 May) and I can already feel it..
Will post updates on FB...
Thanks millions!!
