Our last Truants ride was in Oct 2021 in the serious hills of Scotland. Mid pandemic we soldiered on up and down those hills in the wind and wet as Covid travel concerns had prevented us from taking on the planned ride in Argentina and Uruguay.
But now as things, at least in the medical world, are getting back to normality, our ride there is back on with a vengeance.
We set off soon on Jan 28th 2023 starting in Buenos Aires and looping through the city before heading up to the coast of Uruguay, crossing the border into Carmelo and on into Colonia before heading back to Buenos Aires to finish! It may not be Scottish wind, rain and mountains, but as I reach the ripe age of 73 next month, each kilometre starts to feel like 10! And there are over 180 of them in the 3 days.
With the children’s charities we support still being desperate for funding we are pushing to raise as much as we can to help those kids. Your support would be very much appreciated.
The Truants Foundation is now a registered charity (1191441) and we have to date donated just under Five Million pounds to Teenage Cancer Trust, Nordoff Robbins Music Therapy and ChildLine NSPCC. Please help us reach that magic number and help kids who need support and assistance
Kindly note that all the Truants pay all their own expenses for the ride and everything related to it and that every penny, other than Race Nation fee of 2%, goes to the Charities
