As a midwife in Jersey I work with so many families and can see that every family has a different story. I believe every child deserves the best start in life. For some, this means a bit of extra support.
Brighter Futures is a charity I work along side and can see the amazing difference they make. They work with families to support child development, parent/carer-child relationships, family health and wellbeing to increase the life chances and opportunities of each family. Every child has a stable start in life.
Most people know that I spend most of my free time outdoors: cycling, running, walking and mad enough to sea swim all year! Well, what better Challenge than to combine all of these!!
On Sunday 17th of July, I am taking on the Jersey Triathlon to raise money for Brighter Futures. This is no small affair - 750m sea swim followed by 40Km bike ride finished off with a 5Km run!!! so all your support will be pushing me on round.
