In 2010, after not having ridden a bicycle for 30 years, as I was somehow bullied into riding 123 miles on a road bike from Sutton Coldfield to Great Ormond street; swearing that I wouldn't do it again.
Somehow, 13 years on (still hating cycling), I have been persuaded that it would be a great idea to fly 12 hours and then cycle 170km on gravel roads, over 3 days in Argentina and Uruguay, in 35 degree weather to raise money for 3 UK charities.
I have started training for this by riding an exercise bike in the garage in the middle of a UK winter, so what could possibly go wrong......................
It won't be easy or comfortable however I will be raising much needed money for the charities.
All monies raised will be split equally between these charities
