About GEORGE PYPER

Profile picture

I was diagnosed with thyroid cancer in 2005. It was detected early, by chance, so I was really lucky and got prompt and effective treatment.

It means that, for me, any support I can give, or persuade others to give, for research into all forms of cancer detection, prevention and treatment is a very important personal cause.

So, this Summer, please join me in supporting the inspirational research team at The Royal Marsden, headed by Prof Nick Turner with whom I will be riding in Le Cure 2023.

Combining a recently-found enjoyment of road cycling (a new bike helped, as did my previously-undiscovered love of lycra..) with raising money for a standout excellent cause, is a win-win. Plus, we pay all our own expenses so ABSOLUTELY EVERY PENNY goes straight to the Royal Marsden research team.

Thank you and please follow me on instagram or tiktok for all updates...

About Le Cure 2023

Here we go again!

Le Cure de France is a charity cycling event established in 2014 to raise money for breast cancer research at the Royal Marsden Cancer Charity.  So far we have raised over £2.4 million to fund our Le Cure fellowships, but have much more work to do to help cure cancer.

This is your opportunity to join us for our special, tenth year.  Riders will start in Sestriere in Italy and finish in Mougins in the Cote d'Azur for our final night party and 10 year celebration!

For the first time, you can also register to join us in Mougins and cycle the final day only.

As ever, our focus is raising money to fund new, cutting-edge cancer research at the Royal Marsden Hospital.
