8 years ago my wife was treated by the Royal Marsden undergoing surgery, followed by Chemo and Radio-therapy after she discovered a lump, just before our son was born.
The Marsden was unbelievable at treating not just the physical symptoms but the mental side as well. There was always support for Louise from nurses who she could phone at any time to discuss concerns and Louise is really well now.
Anyway, Louise and I are looking to raise funds for further research and support for patients. We are again taking part in a charity cycle ride, where we are cycling close to 450km over 4 days (23-26 August) with 9,000 metres of climbing. Travelling from the Italian Alps to Provence.
I hope the genuine physical challenge will make you consider sponsoring us for what is a fantastic cause. To see the great work the funding pays for, listen to the talk by the "Prof", Professor Ian Smith, who also cycles the Le cure ride every year.
And if you want to see the route to understand the madness Louise signed me us up for, this shows it
