About Virtual Yeovil Half Marathon 2021

Due to the devastating Coronavirus pandemic and current national lockdown in England which has not yet been given an end date, we are unable to plan adequately for the Yeovil Half Marathon to take place as normal in 2021.

We are also acutely aware that hosting a mass start running event for 1500-2000 participants, with up to 6000 spectators in Yeovil Town Centre would be irresponsible and in bad taste in the current circumstances and may well jeopardise the recovery process for our local community and healthcare system.

Therefore, there will be no Yeovil Half Marathon on 29th March 2021.

Your place will automatically be deferred to the 2022 Yeovil Half Marathon on Sunday 27th March 2022.  If you cannot make the new date, please let us know and we will offer you a credit which you can use on any RaceNation Event (as listed on www.racenationevents.com) for up to 3 years.

However, we didn’t want to let this year go by without giving you the chance to earn a medal and so for 2021 there will be a Virtual Half Marathon option available so that you can get out there and train for something, and perhaps fundraise for our very worthy charities who need our help more than ever this year:

Yeovil Hospital Charity

School in a Bag

For entrants of the cancelled 2020 Yeovil Half Marathon, there will be a reduced entry fee for the 2021 Virtual Half of £4 purely to cover the cost of the medal, envelope, and postage (to be sent after completion).

Please use the discount code sent to you in a separate email to get the reduced entry fee. If you have not received the email please send us a message by clicking HERE

Entering the Virtual Half Marathon will not affect your deferred entry into the 2022 event.

The 2021 Virtual Yeovil Half Marathon will be fully licenced by UK Athletics. The race will be listed on the runbritain Race Listing Pages. Race details will be added to the Powerof10/ runbritainrankings fixtures list.

Fundraising Information

This fundraising page benefits the following good causes:

School In A Bag

According to UNICEF figures, 20% of the world’s child population will never attend school.

School in a Bag is a simple solution created to help poor, orphan, vulnerable and disaster affected children throughout the world. Each SchoolBag is filled with stationery, learning resources and eating utensils that will enable a child to write, draw, colour, calculate, express themselves and above all learn.

An education for these children could be their passport to a life out of hardship and poverty.
