About Jersey White Collar Boxing 2022
Fundraising Information
This fundraising page benefits the following good causes:
Jersey Hospice Care is the island’s only hospice – providing specialist palliative care for people with life-limiting conditions. Services include the Specialist Palliative Care Team – who support people at home, in hospital, and in care homes, an In Patient Unit providing a home away from home, educational programmes, complementary therapy, emotional, spiritual and faith support, and community bereavement services. Jersey Hospice Care is an independent charity, providing all its services without a charge to patients. It costs £18,000 a day to run – funded mainly by the generosity of islanders. This comes in the form of donations, fundraising, and sales in our charity shops, as well as through the outstanding work of the dedicated volunteers who give their time and skills to keep Hospice running.
Jersey’s only Rehabilitation Day Centre for brain injury & stroke recovery. Headway Jersey is a non-profit organisation passionately dedicated to transforming the lives of people living with brain injury. Whether caused by stroke, brain tumour, aneurysm, accident, fall, or illness. Our mission is to restore independence and rebuild lives through free rehabilitation for survivors of brain injury and stroke. We give every survivor the chance to live with dignity, purpose, and hope, while providing their families with the lifeline and support they need to adjust and thrive.
Healing Waves is a charity based in Jersey Channel Islands. We enable individuals with physical, neurological & mental health challenges to access the ocean in a safe way, to participate in surf, paddle and flowrider sessions.
We offer Ocean Therapy through guided surf, paddle and flow sessions. These water sports are used as a vessel, helping our athletes to gain more self-confidence and communication skills, whilst providing therapy and respite for all. Water sports can stimulate the ‘stoke’ like feeling and can promote a sense of accomplishment and empowerment in our Athletes, whilst families, friends and carers cheer them on from the side lines. We encourage loved ones and carers to participate in sessions, helping to strengthen the (often strained) bonds which are vital for healthy relationships.

Mind Jersey is an independent local charity that provides support to people living with mental illness. Our vision is of a society that promotes and protects good mental health for all, and that treats people with experience of mental illness fairly, positively and with respect. Although affiliated with Mind in the UK, Mind Jersey retains its independence, both financially and operationally. All money raised by Mind Jersey stays in Jersey for the benefit of Island residents. Our affiliation ensures that we meet Mind’s quality standards of governance and service delivery, follow best practice models of involving local people in their community – People who have had experience of mental illness – and provide good quality services. This can only be a good thing, demonstrating that we are a serious organisation that works professionally, has a stable management structure and well supported and appropriately trained and skilled staff.
Friends of Jersey Neonatal Unit
Friends of SCBU was formed by a group of parents whose babies spent their first precious days and months in the dedicated care of the neo-natal unit where SCBU's incredible work ultimately saved their childrens' lives. In return, the Friends of SCBU team work hard to raise vital funds so that other parents and babies within our small island community can benefit from the essential treatment often needed for premature and sick babies. Our goals are;
- To raise funds for essential specialist equipment.
- To raise funds for other necessities within the unit, such a the parent-child room.
- To raise funds for families who need to travel to the UK with their babies, to help cover the travel, accomodation and living costs.
- To raise awareness of the Special Care Baby Unit.
- To raise assist families who need support through contact with other families in similar situations.
Thank you to all those who support Friends of SCBU.
Teenage mental health Jersey
Room 2 Talk & Thrive Jersey
Room 2 Talk
Room 2 Talk is a counselling service offered to members, staff and volunteers of Jersey Charities and Non-Profit Organisations.
We have opened because we believe therapy should be a proactive, supporting and empowering service. However, most come to therapy as a last resort because of its expense. That is why to this area, these people … you … we offer our services as you give so much to the public!
Thrive Jersey
We are a magnet and mindset for positive change that enables our community to thrive. Bringing together the components for solving mental illness – prevention, best care, and people power. Our ambition is for a society where people can thrive, not just survive.
MacMillan Cancer Support Jersey & Mustard Seed Jersey
Teenage Cancer Trust, Jersey Appeal
We are a local charity consisting of a volunteering fundraising committee. We make sure young people in Jersey don’t face cancer alone. We do it by providing funds which enable world-class cancer care and support in our specialist unit at Southampton Hospital and in the Jersey Hospital.
We are there at every stage, from diagnosis through treatment and after treatment. We bring young people from Jersey together with other young people at weekend events where they can talk through anything that’s on their minds. Our most popular weekend is Find Your Sense of Tumour. Our online learning hub which we provide to schools in Jersey, offers lesson plans, factsheets, research, activities packs, posters and other resources to help teachers share accurate, up to date information and feel more confident discussing cancer.
In Jersey we aim to raise as much money as we can so that our teenagers in Jersey can receive the best treatment and age appropriate care. This helps improve the care and quality of life and makes the experience of treatment for cancer less traumatic for them and their families. We rely 100% on
voluntary donations to protect and grow these vital services for teenagers in Jersey.
We are helping to make Jersey a more Dementia friendly island. We want all those people affected by Dementia, or living with the disease to be understood, welcomed and supported.
To raise funds for Anthony Nolan in order that it may finance the maintenance and expansion of the register of volunteer blood stem cell and bone marrow donors.
