About Cotswold Way Walk

Charlie is walking the Cotwolds Way, starting out at Chipping Campden Market Square Car Park, GL55 6AW in Gloustershire to Bath in Somerset - a distance of 102 miles over 7 days. You are welcome to join Charlie and his dogs Rocky and Willow for as many days as you wish.  He has booked accommodation on the route and there is one room free over the whole week.  That is available for you on a first come basis.

There will be transport to take you back to the start point and arrangements will be made for each day the day before.  This worked well on the Ridgeway last year.  Each end of day stop will be at a car park in the village/town.  Safety is available and we can easily collect anyone off the route if necessary.  Don't be shy, we go very slowly - my pace.  The route is:

Saturday 30 March - Chipping Campden Market Square car park, GL55 6AW to Wood Stanway - 12.5 miles

Sunday 31 March - Wood Stanway to Ham Hill - 15.9 miles

Monday 1 April - Ham Hill  to Painswick - 18.1 miles

Tuesday 2 April - Painswick to Dursley - 15 miles

Wednesday 3 April - Dursley to Hawkesbury Upton - 14.7 miles

Thursday 4 April -  Hawkesbury Upton to Cold Ashton - 14.3 miles

Friday 5 April - Cold Ashton to Bath - 10.2 Miles

Greater details will be sent to those who have signed up, paid and closer to the date, but no later than 20 March 2024.

Fundraising Information

This fundraising page benefits the following good cause:

Rock2Recovery

Rock 2 Recovery, was formed in 2015 by Jamie Sanderson and Jason Fox, after they both experienced their own battles with stress after transitioning from the Royal Marines.

Our mission is to save and change the lives of those in our Armed Forces, our Veteran Community, the Emergency Services and their families who are affected by stress. Our purpose is to inspire and coach towards a more positive future.

Sessions are free to our clients and so fundraising has a vital part to play for us.

Following our unique experiences, we recognise the need for rapid preventative interventions, specific coaching and assistance.

Our non-clinical approach is aimed at inspiring, coaching, motivating and supporting individuals to experience real and positive change in their lives by "rethinking your thinking".  We encourage everyone to engage in their own recovery and find their "rock".

Join our wonderful community of inspirational people from all walks of life, who encourage each other to achieve personal goals, including Service people and Veterans who’ve been affected by stress themselves. We could not provide the support to those who need us without our supporters and fundraisers, some who have used the service and want to give back and others who have been inspired by stories they have heard about the work that we do.

All of us at R2R thank you for your efforts and for every single penny raised, we couldn't do it without you!
