About Light up a Life

Each year, our Light up a Life event brings together our hospice community to honour loved ones. We celebrate their lives, and find solace in being together with others who understand.

We invite you to join us for a heart-warming service of remembrance and reflection, with music, poetry and readings to honour the lives of those who have brought light into our world. You will be in the company of others who are remembering loved-ones too, and it can be comforting to know you are not alone.

Please come with a friend or with your family - or come on your own with your private reflections and cherished memories. Everyone is welcome. The programme of uplifting music and words is sure to touch the heart of everybody who attends.

Date: Saturday 6 December

Time: Doors open at 16:30 with the service starting at 17:00

Location: St Andrew's Church, First Tower, Jersey JE2 3QP

Jersey Hospice Care

Jersey Hospice Care is the island’s only hospice – providing specialist palliative care for people with life-limiting conditions. Services include the Specialist Palliative Care Team – who support people at home, in hospital, and in care homes, an In Patient Unit providing a home away from home, educational programmes, complementary therapy, emotional, spiritual and faith support, and community bereavement services. Jersey Hospice Care is an independent charity, providing all its services without a charge to patients. It costs £18,000 a day to run – funded mainly by the generosity of islanders. This comes in the form of donations, fundraising, and sales in our charity shops, as well as through the outstanding work of the dedicated volunteers who give their time and skills to keep Hospice running.
