Grow Green Miles
How it works
Throughout May, participants are encouraged to walk a minimum of one mile each day. Each day, Grow will suggest a different walk around the island, or walkers can choose their own favourite routes — from coastal paths to hidden lanes.
The event kicks off with a group walk from Grow on Friday 1 May, followed by a celebratory BBQ to welcome walkers together. Grow Green Miles concludes on Sunday 31 May with a final group walk and a summer craft market celebration at Grow — a chance to reflect, connect and celebrate achievements.
Why Grow Green Miles matters
Grow supports adults with learning disabilities to build confidence, independence and life skills through meaningful work, training and mentoring. Our work fosters inclusion, purpose and a genuine sense of belonging within the community.
With annual running costs of around £800,000, Grow relies not only on grants and trading income, but also on fundraising and corporate support. Every mile walked helps ensure Grow can continue making a positive, lasting difference in people’s lives.
