On May 21st, 3 Heavy Metal Truants, Martin, Graham & Mat, completed a 200-mile cycle in 1 day, looping Winchester from London, St Pauls. Setting off at 3am, this ride took18 hours and challenged their limits of stamina and mental resolve.
Why? Despite the difficulties of these past 2 years The Heavy Metal Truants have met the challenge head-on and raised over £1Million for NSPCC Childline, Nordoff Robbins, Teenage Cancer Trust and Save The Children, with over a third coming during lockdown or restrictions. We are seeking your support to push ourselves the extra miles in aid of these Charities who have seen their income slashed yet have fought to maintain services; protecting children from abuse, comfort those with cancer, or suffer psychological, physical, developmental disabilities or are in danger.
