About The Bean Brigade of Jersey

Profile picture

We, The Bean Brigade of Jersey, are gearing up for the ultimate legume-powered charity walk extravaganza! We're ready to unleash our mighty bean-fueled energy on this 48-mile adventure, and we guarantee it'll be a gas (pun intended)!

But it's not all about the laughs and legumes. We're on a mission to support our community and make a positive impact. We believe that a little bit of humor can go a long way in raising awareness and funds for those in need.

So, buckle up, folks! The Bean Brigade of Jersey is coming to town, armed with beans, puns, and a whole lot of wackiness. We're ready to bean-venture into the unknown, one step at a time, and make a difference with our comical charity walk! Join us, support us, and let's bring the joy of beans to the world! #BeanBrigadeJersey #BeanventureForACause

Fundraising Information

This fundraising page benefits the following good cause:

Around the Island Walk Trust

Each year the trustees choose local charities to benefit from the funds raised through the Island Walk, whether that be from the entry fees or the sponsorship received.

The Trustee try to split the causes that they help, whether that be elderly/health, children/sport, environment or animals. Since inception over £2.9m has been raised with all the money going to local Jersey charities.  All the money raised is redistributed to the designated charities with the costs being funded by the sponsors, currently TMF Group.  All the Trustees, Organisation committee and supporters on the day give their time for free and there are no salaried individuals.

For information on the Charities being supported this year please visit our website where there is lots of information.    https://islandwalk.je/charities

About Island Walk sponsored by TMF Group 2023

The Main Walk starts at 3am from Elizabeth Terminal at the Harbour. If you do not fancy walking 48.1 miles in one go, why not enter a team of 4 in the Team Relay that follows the main walk route, or the next stage of the Lieutenant Governor’s Challenge which starts at 2:30pm from Le Braye, Checkpoint 9 and through to the Finish Line at the Waterfront – everyone running a checkpoint is there to offer each of you support and encouragement.
Over the last 32 years, over 100 local charities have benefited from donations exceeding £2.5 Million - a few small steps can help make a BIG difference. All thanks to those who have walked in the past & to all those who
