Caring Cooks of Jersey

We are a Jersey charity and registered NPO founded in 2014, who believe that good food and nutrition from birth and throughout a child’s life is crucial to successful development, in all areas of their lives. Our vision is to positively empower and influence the future health of our Islands children and young people, now and for generations to come. All of our services are either subsidised or provided free of charge to families and are funded entirely by charitable donations and fundraising.

About Brighter Futures
Brighter Futures supports families in Jersey who are facing significant difficulties or challenges in their lives. Since 2008, Brighter Futures has supported over 3,100 families, benefitting over 12,400 Islanders.
Working alongside the main carer, our educational model provides them with the? tools to cope.
Supporting 150 families at any one time, we focus on 3 key areas;
* Parent and child relationships, helping our clients recognise and value their role as their child’s first and most important educator;
* Wellbeing and positive mental health, supporting social and emotional wellbeing, allowing increased resilience with the outside world to give our clients a brighter future and hope.
* Personal development and second chance learning provide the skills our clients may need to progress and succeed in education, work, and life.

Every Child Our Future wants every child in the Channel Islands to get the best possible education, no matter what their circumstances.

We’re a charity that enhances literacy and numeracy, and helps teachers and parents during the crucial early years. We team up with schools, teachers, parents, business, our islands’ governments and the wider community to ensure no child gets left behind. Together, we can make our islands the best place for children to grow.
