About The Charities
This fundraising page benefits the following charities:
Guernsey Mind is a mental health charity whose main aim is to support the people of the Bailiwick, encouraging a positive attitude towards mental health and supporting mental wellbeing. Anyone can contact us at Guernsey Mind – you don’t need a referral. We would encourage anyone who wants to talk, or is worried about someone they know, to contact us.
The main role of the Guernsey Society for Cancer Relief is to provide assistance to cancer sufferers and their families when the extra financial burdens are beyond the capabilities of the family. We do not ‘Means Test’ which enables us to react very quickly to requests and it allows us to reach more people who are genuinely in need of our help.
Les Bourgs Hospice at Andrew Mitchell House was founded for the people of the Bailiwick in 1991 by Greville Mitchell OBE and Mrs Lisa Mitchell who recognised the need for a Hospice to provide the highest levels of compassionate and professional care to patients suffering from life-limiting illnesses, as well as their loved ones. All Bailiwick residents are able to come to the hospice as an in-patient, as well as for respite or day care and there is no charge for the services provided.
Guernsey Alzheimer’s Association
Guernsey Bereavement Service
We see a future where every child is living in an environment that is free from extreme poverty, in which they can thrive.
Liberate is a Guernsey registered charity established in 2014 to include, inform and support the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Questioning (LGBTQ) communities across the Channel Islands.
Guernsey Chest and Heart LBG is a charitable body, primarily concerned with the provision of a free health screening service to the residents of the Bailiwick of Guernsey. The objectives of the charity are "the prevention and treatment of and research into respiratory and circulatory diseases".
The GSPCA Mission Statement:
To prevent cruelty to all animals; to rescue animals in distress; to provide shelter for strays; to foster and encourage kindness and consideration in the treatment of animals and birds, whether domestic or wild.
Victim Support and Witness Service LBG
We are an independent charitable organisation offering free and confidential support to victims and witnesses of crime and their family and friends. Our aim is to ensure that victims and witnesses have the best possible experience of support on both a practical and emotional level, at what can be a very traumatic and challenging time.
The Priaulx Premature Baby Foundation was set up by three times World Touring Car Champion Andy Priaulx MBE and his wife Jo in 2003 following the premature births of both their children. Andy and Jo felt the support they received during and after each birth was amazing and this inspired the PPBF. The Foundation comprises four Trustees Andy and Jo Priaulx, Richard Le Tocq, Guy Hardill, our Secretary Ali Lihou, who helps Jo with the day-to-day running of the charity, and a wonderful team of volunteers who offer their time and skills to help us with various events and activities.
