On May 14th, after a long two year wait, I am taking part in Jersey White Collar Boxing with Boxinbusiness, raising money for a great local charity: Jersey Hospice Care.

Late last year, my nana passed away after a brief battle with breast cancer. While I wasn’t able to visit as much as I should have, I know her last days were made as comfortable as possible by the efforts of my parents and, at the very end, the support given to them by Hospice services in the UK.

Hospice services aren't just for those in need of end of life care, they assist and support family members through an equally hard and emotional time, making it just a little bit easier.

Jersey Hospice is a charity that my family has supported ever since they came to Jersey, volunteering in (and purchasing from) the St Ouens Charity Shop regularly, so it seems fitting for me to choose this as my charity.
