Inspired by Dementia Jersey’s 100-mile cycle challenge, Our Hospital Project (OHP) created a spin-off challenge to get our team moving this summer and highlight the link between physical and mental health and wellbeing.
Did you know that the journey from the northern most OHP consultant team’s head office (Turner & Townsend in Teeside), to the project’s most southern point, Our Hospital Project office in St Helier, is 554 miles long?
We’re challenging our colleagues at Turner & Townsend, Mace, Mott MacDonald, Government of Jersey and ROK FCC JV to go ‘head-to-head’ with one another and cycle, run or walk during the month of August, and clock up a team target of at least 554 miles while raising funds for Dementia Jersey to help support islanders in Jersey living with dementia.
Join the fun! Register yourself under the relevant head office team by Sunday 31 July.
Once you’re registered, you can then:
- Link up your favourite app, e.g. Event Day or Strava to your team’s profile (you can also manually enter your miles)
- Invite your colleagues, friends and family to sponsor you
- From Friday 1 August, get walking, running and cycling outdoors or in the gym
- Share photos of your/your team’s head-to-head journey by emailing hello@ourhospital.je. We may award a mystery prize for the best snaps-on-the-go!
- Track the challengers’ progress on the leader board: Can you guess which team will snatch the ultimate bragging rights for reaching their target miles and donations first?
