Meadows Marathon is a charity running event by Edinburgh Students Charity Appeal; a student-led volunteer fundraising group that raises thousands of pounds for other charities every year. The event incorporates a 5K, 10K, half marathon, full marathon and relay. We welcome a diverse group of participants, from serious runners to those who just want to have fun!
Meadows Marathon operates as subdivisions of The Edinburgh Students' Charity Appeal, registered charity no. SC035064.

Fresh Start
Fresh Start is an Edinburgh-based charity helping people who have been homeless get established in their new homes.
Working in partnership with volunteers and organisations from a broad section of the community, we deliver a range of services that provide the practical and social support that helps people resettle successfully.
Each year Fresh Start helps thousands of new tenants settle into their homes. This can only be achieved by the hard work of our volunteers and the generosity of the donations we receive.
Pilton Community Health Project
Based in the heart of North Edinburgh, our vision is Equality, Wellbeing and Belonging for all in our communities. We tackle the effects of health inequalities by supporting people to take steps to better health by taking control of their own health and wellbeing. This, in turn, creates a healthier, happier, resilient community and environment.
Listening and learning, we adapt to the challenges faced by the people and families in the North Edinburgh communities of Muirhouse, Drylaw, Pilton, Granton, and Royston/Wardieburn.
We enjoy sharing our space with Granton Garden Bakery with their pay what you can afford approach to fresh and delicious bread for all and Volunteer Edinburgh’s grassroots community development initiatives based within our four city localities.
ESCA is led by a student fundraising group who go by the name Edinburgh RAG. They put on numerous events throughout the year including a hitch hike race to Paris and the Meadows Marathon raising money for a wide range of charities.
