About 30 Bays in 30 Days 2025

You can now sign up for our exciting summer challenge where we encourage you to explore and enjoy 30 different bays between 01 July through to 31 August.

We want you to swim, paddleboard, kayak, surf – or anything else you can think of! The challenge is open to people of all ages who want to get outdoors and take advantage of our stunning beaches, while raising money for two local charities – Jersey Hospice Care and the National Trust for Jersey.

We encourage all those registered to start the challenge on 1 July and complete a minimum of 30 strokes, 30 times in bays local to them. Participants can pick their favourite bays or if they want an extra challenge, can attempt all 30 during the month of July!

We will be holding an opening swim on Sunday 29 June at 9:00 and a closing swim on Friday 29 August at 17:30, both will be held at Greve De Lecq.

The first 100 people to sign up will also receive a special golden 30 Bays swim hat. Swim Hats can be collected from Jersey Hospice Care, Mont Cochon and The National Trust in St Mary from Tuesday 17th June.

Our event is kindly sponsored by Livingroom, The Channel Islands estate agent.

About The Charities

This fundraising page benefits the following charities:

Jersey Hospice Care

Jersey Hospice Care is the island’s only hospice – providing specialist palliative care for people with life-limiting conditions.

Services include the Specialist Palliative Care Team – who support people at home, in hospital, and care homes, a 12 bed In Patient Unit providing a home away from home, educational programmes, physiotherapy, emotional, spiritual and faith support, and community bereavement services. Jersey Hospice Care is an independent charity, providing all its services without a charge to patients.

It costs £16,500 a day to run its services – funded mainly by the generosity of islanders. This comes in the form of fundraising, donations, and sales in our two charity shops, as well as through the outstanding work of the army of dedicated volunteers who give their time and skills to keep the hospice running.

National Trust for Jersey

With its dramatic coastline, rich marine environment, distinctive vernacular architecture, and hedge lined country lanes, Jersey retains a strong sense of place, identity and above all beauty. However, its rural character, ecology, and built heritage remains threatened, possibly more than at any other time. This is due to unsuitable development, creeping urbanisation, unsustainable farming practices and short term economic policies. As a result, wildlife is in serious decline, the health of our environment is at risk, and tranquillity is becoming increasingly elusive.

The Trust seeks to champion and protect the distinctive qualities of Jersey so that it remains at the very heart of Island life. We will do this through vigilance, sustainable management and by promoting and increasing awareness of the value of our countryside and historic environment to our economy.
