Surfers Against Sewage is a national marine conservation and campaigning charity that inspires, unites and empowers communities to take action to protect oceans, beaches, waves and wildlife. Plastic pollution is the ‘new sewage’ and tackling it is our number one priority. We are addressing the issue of plastics in the ocean at every level and we can’t do it without you! Your donation will help fund: campaigns targeting government and industry for change, projects to encourage thousands of people to cut back their plastic consumption, the running of hundreds of UK beach cleans and our education project which inspires and empowers the next generation to take action on plastics in their communities. It’s impossible to get the existing 269,000 tonnes of plastic out of the ocean, but together we can stop putting more in.
Friends of the Earth is a charity that inspires and supports people to take local, national and global action to improve lives and protect the environment. For over 40 years we’ve driven tangible change from grassroots actions, to national policy-making. Together with thousands of people, we’ve secured safer food and water, defended wildlife and natural habitats, championed the move to clean energy and acted to keep our climate stable.
