On the 1st November we will be hitchhiking 874 miles south, from Bristo Square in Edinburgh to Paris, in under 48 hours with Edinburgh RAG (Raising and Giving). This is a race where we will travel without using any of our own money, relying on the kindness of strangers and any donations we can get on the way!
We are racing to raise money for Ataxia UK. Mathilda’s brother Jasper was diagnosed with Friedreich's ataxia in February of 2017, a very rare recessive inherited disease that causes progressive damage to the nervous system that currently has no cure or treatment. The charity raises funds for medical research into finding treatments and a cure for ataxia.
