We are taking part in RAG's Race To Paris and hitchhiking to Paris on the 1st of November to raise money for CoppaFeel! a breast cancer awareness charity that focuses on promoting early detection of breast cancer through regular breast self-examinations.
After being personally affected by breast cancer in our families we wanted to 'Grab life by the boobs' in the words of CoppaFeel! and do our bit to raise some money for an amazing cause. If you could spare any money at all or even some good wishes for the race in a couple of weeks time it would be greatly appreciated!!
The race involves 70 teams of two hitchhiking to Paris in 48 hours or less, without spending ANY money so we will be relying on the kindness of strangers to help us get to Paris in a (hopefully) respectable time. This fundraising page benefits the following good cause:
ESCA is led by a student fundraising group who go by the name Edinburgh RAG. They put on numerous events throughout the year including a hitch hike race to Paris and the Meadows Marathon raising money for a wide range of charities.
Race2Paris is a hitchhike race where teams race from Bristo Square, Edinburgh to Paris in the quickest time possible. It allows you to raise money for any charity you choose (with a UK charity no.) whilst having the time of your life!
