Hi there! We’re Matt and Frankie, students from The University of Edinburgh who are participating in a charity race from Edinburgh to Amsterdam starting on the 14th of February. The name of the game is freeloading – any mode of transport can be used, however not a penny can be spent. Our team name is ‘Thunder from Down Under’ as we’re lightning quick Aussies from Sydney. We are both extremely passionate about the preservation of the natural environment, sustainability and climate action - hence the charity we have chosen to fundraise for is ClientEarth. ClientEarth is a UK-based charity who “uses the power of the law to protect the planet and the people who live on it”. We believe that contributing to their cause is very worthwhile as they continue to ensure governments and large corporations are legally responsible for their contributions to climate destruction. With your help, we can give environmental activism a greater standing in court and ensure that the natural beauty we have been lucky to experience continues for many generations to come. If you would like to support us, please do so by donating on this page. If you have any queries please contact us via email at @francesca_mcgrath@outlook.com. And don’t forget to follow our journey! We’ll be taking you along on the race with us on Instagram. Follow @thunder.from.down.unda for more. Thanks! Matt and Frankie
