I’m excited to share that I’ll be participating in the Jersey Island Walk, a challenging 48.1-mile trek around our beautiful island of Jersey on the 15 June.

Why am I doing this? Well, there are two compelling reasons:

Fitness Journey: As I’ve ticked past the big 5-0, I’ve decided to embark on a fitness journey. The Island Walk is my way of pushing my limits, getting healthier, and proving that age is just a number!

Supporting Local Charities: This walk isn’t just about me—it’s about making a difference in our community. 100% of the money raised goes to local charities. By sponsoring me, you’re directly contributing to this year’s charities.

Around the Island Walk Trust

Each year the trustees choose local charities to benefit from the funds raised through the Island Walk, whether that be from the entry fees or the sponsorship received.

The Trustee try to split the causes that they help, whether that be elderly/health, children/sport, environment or animals. Since inception over £2.9m has been raised with all the money going to local Jersey charities.  All the money raised is redistributed to the designated charities with the costs being funded by the sponsors, currently TMF Group.  All the Trustees, Organisation committee and supporters on the day give their time for free and there are no salaried individuals.

About Island Walk sponsored by TMF Group 2024

The Main Walk starts at 3am from Elizabeth Terminal at the Harbour. If you do not fancy walking 48.1 miles in one go, why not enter a team of 4 in the Team Relay that follows the main walk route. This year the Lieutenant Governor’s Challenge also starts at 3am from the harbour going to St Catherines – everyone running a checkpoint is there to offer each of you support and encouragement. There is also the ONE TMF Challenge for those less able starting from Bel Royal going to the finish. 
Over the last 33 years, 100's of local charities have benefited from donations exceeding £2.8 Million - a few small steps can help make a BIG difference. All thanks to YOU.
