I was asked was I free at the end of March 2025 to go on Safari with the Truants…..why not I thought…..I then found out that the “Safari” actually entailed me having to cycle 180km over 3 days, climbing almost 3000 feet through the bush in Zambia, Botswana, Namibia and Zimbabwe at the end of the rainy season…..so it will also be hot and humid!
The African Lion can run at over 50mph……the Wild dogs at 44mph…..the Buffalo can run at 37mph….even the bloody Elephants can run at 22mph….and we will be on mountain bikes!!!!
If I safely navigate these then I have to be mindful of the 137 different poisonous snakes, the crocodiles and mosquitoes…….
By now you will be asking …. “Why the f*ck are you doing this”….
I am doing this to raise money for the four children’s charities, and help those that are less fortunate than ourselves
