I have never been a big fan of the sea but I was keen to change my lifestyle and take the plunge to start off my health kick. I got into sea swimming with a little help from my fellow Le Hocq Rocks, and now the rest is history! I want to turn my life around and this is the new me! I am taking on a big challenge with my sea swimming friends - We are swimming 30 bays in 1 day on Friday the 5th of July and would really appreciate the support from all my loved ones. Any donation will be greatly appreciated. Watch our journey unfold on the 5th of July!

Jersey Hospice Care
Jersey Hospice Care offers specialist palliative care to patients with any life limiting illness. Our aim is that patients are enabled to live the remainder of their lives to the full, to remain at home if they wish and to die with dignity where they choose. Our care is about so much more than the specialist palliative treatment of a person's physical symptoms. It's a total philoso... Read More
With its dramatic coastline, rich marine environment, distinctive vernacular architecture, and hedge lined country lanes, Jersey retains a strong sense of place, identity and above all beauty. However, its rural character, ecology, and built heritage remains threatened, possibly more than at any other time. This is due to unsuitable development, creeping urbanisation, unsustainable farming prac... Read More
Jersey Hospice Care and The National Trust for Jersey are delighted to be working together to co-ordinate the 30 Bays in 30 Days initiative. With the ever increasing number of charities competing for the same funds, as well as an abundance of physical challenges and events taking place, we decided to work together to raise awareness of our charities and encourage islanders to get involved with fundraising and,at the same time, encourage the benefits of sea swimming.
Jersey Hospice Care
Jersey Hospice Care is the island’s Hospice, offering specialist palliative care, free of charge, to all islanders with life-limiting illnesses, irrespective of cause or diagnosis.
Many people think that hospices are places of sadness focused on death and dying. In fact our focus is on living and living well right up to the end, making memories and spending time with your family.
Our care is about so much more than the specialist palliative treatment of a person’s physical symptoms. It’s a total philosophy of care, offering spiritual and emotional support that extends to family members and carers. For each person we are privileged to care for, we only get one chance at the end of life to get it right and that’s why we strive every day to go that extra mile for our patients and their families, to make extraordinary care our ‘ordinary’. Helping each person we care for, to get the best out of every day and to make each day count.
We couldn’t do this without the generosity of our local community and the support of our amazing volunteers.
In 2019 we launched our out-reach service for babies, children and young people with a life-limited condition. This included our Tots & Toys group for babies and children up to five years old. This service is in addition to our Emotional Support service for children and young people and their families, which we started in 2017.
The National Trust for Jersey
The National Trust for Jersey is an independent charitable organisation, which permanently protects and cares for over 1754 vergées of land, 19,000 metres of footpath and 30 historic buildings for the benefit of the Island. Established in 1936, the Trust is totally self-funding; it currently costs over £3,790 per day to run the organisation.
The Trust's main objective is to permanently preserve and safeguard places of historic interest and natural beauty for the benefit of the Island. This is mainly achieved through the acquisition of properties and land either though donations, bequests or purchases.
We would like to encourage every Islander that loves and cares for our beautiful Island to become a member of the Trust.
