Hands Around The World Jersey

HANDS AROUND THE WORLD JERSEY seeks to help vulnerable children around the world, encouraging enthusiastic and well prepared volunteers to offer practical help, skill sharing, support and friendship. 

HANDS AROUND THE WORLD JERSEY is currently working with partners in Rwanda, Uganda, Zambia and Benin, helping them to achieve their ambitions for better conditions and opportunities for the children and young people they are working with. 

Hands Around The World aims to support disadvantaged children by improving teaching and learning conditions in schools and sponsoring individual students. Our main focus is the town of Bugarama in Rwanda which we have been visiting regularly for 12 years. Over that time we have seen a significant transformation in schools.

Our latest project, with the help of grant funding from Jersey Overseas Aid is the construction of new classrooms at Bugarama Cite Secondary School. We are also supporting Muko Secondary School with their Street Children's Lives Matter campaign. Our target for this year's challenge is £6,000.
